Opportunity: Geotechnical Solutions Architect
Instrumentation, automation, IT and Communications.
High level communications and software understanding required.

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

Role summary: Advise and provide client stakeholders with clear and detailed design and solution requirements, defining their technology change process and benefits, adoptingthe highest standards of GeoEnvironmental/Geotechnical Monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the key-drivers of our Mining clients business including; Safety, Productivity, Environmental & Ethics.

  • Build relationships with stakeholders to agree the appropriate design considerations by understanding their project/business strategy and technical.

  • Communicating potential solutions and outcomes to clients and stakeholders.

  • Working on client projects through the project lifecycle, from sale/ deal closure to solution design and activity planning, successful delivery, contract management and knowledge capture.

  • Work well within the overall TECWISE Latam team to ensure that the end-client expectations/outcomes are well understood and be able to be met by the Team; Safely, On time and within Budget.

  • Act as a functional and technical expert across project implementation and release.

  • Set up project technical governance and programme implementation, ready for solution development or deployment

  • Participate in the development of bid winning tender responses.

  • Support end-to-end strategy to implementation of procurement’s digital and analytics capabilities.

  • Maintain an understanding of advancements in technology, monitor the progress of the market, collecting information either through specialized means, relationship base, meetings or other means, seeking continuous improvement in our offering while detecting new business opportunities;

  • Areas of focus within our existing and new customers are: GeoEnvironmental, Geotechnical, Automation, IT/OT/IoT, Telecommunications, Instrumentation and Electrical drives.

  • Monthly KPI reports and presentations;


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Completed higher education: Control and Automation Engineering, IT and/or OT and/or IoT, and/or Telecommunications;

  • Experience as a Geotechnical Solutions Architect in the mining market, Underground mining is an added benefit;

  • Fluent English will be a key strength in order to interact with International Partners and associated TECWISE group entities. Portuguese is also advantageous.

  • Availability, willingness and ability to travel to the client sites

  • Hands on experience of Technical field roles.
